Job Description
A fast-growing construction firm handling exciting dynamic projects across the region is growing and needs some added asssitance in payables for a 3 month project. They are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Project Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a fast-paced environment thats high volume and a great opporutniy to get some exposure to accounting in construction.
salary: $24 - $26 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
- Match 200-300 invoices daily to purchase orders; ensure accuracy with pricing and quantity
- Monitor and manage AP inbox daily; attach purchase order & AIA documents and SOV to export to ERP
- Prepare daily and weekly payment runs
- Respond to vendor inquiries from the AP inbox; provide timely and accurate assistance while escalating complex issues
- Research & resolve job cost inquiries from Project Managers to ensure proper allocation and tracking of project expenses
- Verify subcontractor compliance with COI and follow up on missing or non-compliant documentation
- Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve invoice or payment discrepancies
- Perform other duties as assigned and support the AP team with various tasks and projects as needed
