Position Overview

Client is seeking a Data Experience Designer to support the discovery and definition of data products by focusing on how end users consume, understand, and act on data, insights, and analytics.

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between user needs and technical implementation , helping product, data, and analytics teams create intuitive and actionable data experiences. This role is best suited for someone with a UX, Product Design, or Service Design background who has experience working with data, analytics, dashboards, or BI products.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in UX Design, Product Design, Service Design , or a related discipline.
• Experience working with data, analytics, business intelligence, or data products is highly preferred.
• Ability to create low-fidelity wireframes, journey maps, UX patterns, and design artifacts .
• Experience supporting or facilitating user discovery sessions, interviews, and workshops .
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across business, end-user, product, and technical teams.
• Understanding of data visualization principles and how users consume dashboards, reports, and analytics.
• Comfortable working in early-stage and ambiguous discovery environments where requirements are still evolving.

Other Qualifications

• Experience in retail or consumer-facing organizations .
• Exposure to merchandising, supply chain, e-commerce, or store operations data.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, Looker , or similar analytics/BI platforms.
• Understanding of modern data product concepts .
• Experience contributing to design systems or reusable UX pattern libraries.
• Exposure to organizational design, capability development, role definitions, or team structure initiatives.
