Our work promotes health and well-being, shapes resilient communities, and builds effective and accountable institutions. We are a certified B Corporation and a Top Workplace for 7 consecutive years.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a Director of Corporate Marketing and Communications who has a deep understanding of both communications and context. They know that communications is not simply about what is said, but what is heard, believed, and remembered. This role is one of stewardship. You are responsible for ensuring that how Fors Marsh communicates reflects who we are, what we do, and the standards we hold ourselves to.

How we present ourselves externally and communicate internally shapes how clients, partners, and employees understand who we are. This role requires judgment, attention to nuance, and an appreciation for the responsibility that comes with representing the company.

You will lead the full corporate marketing and communications portfolio: brand stewardship, internal communications, external positioning. You will lead a small, agile and super talented team and have access to tools and resources to drive success.

Core Responsibilities

touchpoints, including voice, tone, visual identity, and positioning.
  • Ensure external communications accurately reflect what the

  • Identify and address positioning risks before they reach the
    market.

Internal Communications

  • Lead internal communications including internal messaging,
company-wide meetings, newsletters, and intranet content.
  • Build communications that create clarity, alignment, and
connection across a growing and distributed organization.

External Positioning and Thought Leadership

  • Manage the company's public presence across LinkedIn,
    Instagram and other owned channels.
  • Oversee the strategy and execution of company-owned media and
    content platforms.
  • Develop and execute a thought leadership strategy that
elevates Fors Marsh and its subject matter experts in priority markets.
  • Identify and pursue awards, recognition programs, and
speaking opportunities that strengthen market position.
  • Lead conference strategy, ensuring Fors Marsh is present
    where it matters most.

Public Relations and Media

  • Manage relationships with PR resources and external
    communications partners.
  • Develop and execute communications strategies for
acquisitions, partnerships, program launches, and other company
    announcements.
  • Advise leadership on how market conditions, industry
dynamics, and current events should inform communications decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years in marketing, communications, or brand strategy leadership
• Deep knowledge of the government contracting environment, public health, behavioral science, or research-driven organizations. You know this world or you have spent enough time in it to operate without a translator.
• Demonstrated experience writing critical company communications.
• Experience managing and developing small teams
• Experience managing a marcomm budget that external vendors or partners.
• Track record of building and/or evolving a marketing or communications function and developing the team.
• Strong judgment as a communicator. You understand that words carry meaning, shape perception, and influence trust. You choose them carefully.
• The instinct to recognize positioning risks before they become problems, and the judgment to know how to respond.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Relevant Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

We Offer:

Our benefits typically meet or exceed our competitors' packages. What's in it for you?

• Our company culture, which values balance and allows each employee to take leave as they require it to balance the responsibilities of both their work and home lives without worrying about depleting their available leave hours.

• A floating holiday bank so you can celebrate the days you value.

• Generous matching retirement contributions and no vesting period starting the third month of employment.

• Dedicated training and development budgets to expand your expertise and grow your skillset.

• You can volunteer your way with paid time off.
