About the Role:

Caremed Primary and Urgent Care PC is looking for a motivated and compassionate Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced primary care team in Coram, NY. Responsibilities:

• Room patients and record vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
• Assist physicians and providers with examinations and clinical procedures
• Perform phlebotomy, spirometry, EKG, ABI, etc.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper supply stocking
• Manage patient flow in a high-volume primary care setting
• Process referrals, prior authorizations, and coordinate patient follow-up care
• Accurately document patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

Requirements:

• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
• Prior experience in a primary care or urgent care clinical setting preferred
• Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and basic medical office procedures
• Strong phlebotomy and clinical skills including vital signs
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a professional demeanor
• Ability to work full-time in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
