Title: ISO Certification Program Manager

Location: Remote PT 20 hours / week during normal business hours
Duration: EOY

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced ISO Certification Program Manager / Senior Manager to support a client's Technology Risk organization in planning, managing, and executing enterprise-wide ISO certification initiatives. This individual will serve as the PMO lead for the certification program, partnering with technology, security, compliance, and business stakeholders to establish the operating model, coordinate certification activities, and prepare the organization for successful internal and external audits.


The ideal candidate has hands-on experience leading ISO certification programs (ISO 27001 preferred) and excels at cross-functional program management, governance, and stakeholder engagement.



Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of the organization's ISO certification program within the Technology Risk function.
• Design and implement the ISO program operating model, including governance, processes, roles, and responsibilities.
• Establish and manage project plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and executive reporting.
• Coordinate certification activities across technology, cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, and business teams.
• Facilitate working sessions to define control ownership, evidence collection processes, and compliance responsibilities.
• Track readiness activities and ensure timely completion of certification deliverables.
• Prepare the organization for internal audits, certification assessments, and management reviews.
• Identify program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues as appropriate.
• Develop executive presentations, dashboards, status reports, and steering committee materials.
• Partner with internal audit, risk, compliance, and external certification bodies throughout the certification lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement of governance processes and ISO program maturity.

Required Qualifications

• 5 9 years of experience in Program Management, PMO, Technology Risk, Information Security, or IT Governance.
• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting ISO certification programs, preferably ISO 27001.
• Strong understanding of ISO standards, certification processes, controls, and audit requirements.
• Experience building governance frameworks and operating models.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Strong documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project or equivalent project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• ISO 27001 Lead Implementer and/or Lead Auditor certification.
• PMP, PgMP, or PRINCE2 certification.
• Experience with GRC platforms such as ServiceNow GRC, Archer, or OneTrust.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, COBIT, SOC 2, PCI DSS, or other security and compliance frameworks.
• Experience within healthcare, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
