We are seeking an experienced General Surgery Physician Assistant for a locum tenens opportunity in Neptune City, New Jersey. This position offers a predominantly outpatient practice with a focus on General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and Endocrine Surgery in a collaborative, physician-led environment.
Compensation:$115 Per Hour
Position Details
Practice Setting: 90% Outpatient | 10% Inpatient
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Call: None
Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage patients in the outpatient surgical clinic.
Provide preoperative and postoperative care for general, oncology, and endocrine surgery patients.
Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate follow-up care.
Assist with inpatient consultations and postoperative management as needed.
Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures, recovery, and ongoing treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Active New Jersey Physician Assistant license
NCCPA certification required
