MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE

Department: Marketing, Brand & Communications

Level: Associate

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Head of Marketing, Brand & Communications

Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, PR, or a related field.

Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience in marketing, communications, branding, or digital marketing.

The Marketing & Communications Associate will support the execution of the company's marketing, branding, public relations, advertising, and communications initiatives.

The role involves maintaining consistent brand messaging across all channels, supporting marketing campaigns, managing social media and communications, coordinating events, and helping build a strong public image for the organization.

• Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns aligned with business objectives.
• Coordinate with internal teams, marketing agencies, media partners, and other external stakeholders.
• Develop press releases, media alerts, and other marketing and PR materials.
• Support the planning and coordination of virtual and physical events.
• Ensure consistent use of company brand guidelines and product messaging.
• Create and manage content for social media and other digital platforms.
• Conduct market and competitor research and monitor industry and marketing trends.
• Track campaign performance and use data and insights to improve marketing activities.

• Support internal and external corporate communications.
• Develop content for the company website, social media, and media platforms.
• Manage the company's social media channels and maintain consistent brand messaging.
• Support initiatives that strengthen the company's public image and reputation.

• Experience with marketing campaigns, market research, social media, content creation, and performance measurement.
• Good understanding of digital marketing, SEO, paid media, and marketing funnels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili.
• Strong organizational, project management, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Canva and Adobe Creative Suite is an added advantage.
• Experience with website and social media management is preferred.

Experience in financial services, banking, investment management, fintech, or capital markets , as well as knowledge of AI-powered marketing tools, SEO, CRO, website management, and marketing analytics , will be an advantage.
