Important Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year of Paramedic experience required.
• EMTs will not be considered.
• Must practice within the Wyoming Scope of Practice for Paramedics.
• Must be able to administer emergency medications in accordance with Wyoming State regulations.
• Experience with emergency patient assessment and pre-hospital care required.
• Familiarity with the WATRS reporting system is preferred.

Position Summary

The Ambulance Paramedic provides advanced pre-hospital emergency medical care within the scope of licensure and established protocols. The Paramedic performs comprehensive patient assessments, administers emergency medications and treatments, documents patient care, maintains ambulance readiness, and assists with patient care in other hospital departments when requested and within scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct emergency patient care within the Paramedic scope of practice.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish treatment priorities.
• Administer emergency medications according to Wyoming State regulations.
• Render appropriate emergency medical treatment and interventions.
• Accurately document patient assessments and treatments using the WATRS reporting system.
• Maintain ambulances and station facilities in a clean, stocked, and service-ready condition.
• Assist with patient care in other hospital departments under the direction of physicians and registered nurses, when requested.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time, personnel, and resources effectively.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum one (1) year of Paramedic experience.
• Emergency pre-hospital patient care experience.

Licensure

• Current Paramedic license meeting Wyoming State requirements.

Required Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• ATT.

Schedule

• Variable shifts.
• Must be available to work all shifts.

General Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• ATT
