Location: Wilkes-Barre, PA
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: $17.74 - $19 an hour
*6 month contract*
Schedule:
Wednesday: 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM
Thursday: 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM
Friday: 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM
Saturday: 12:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Position Summary
As a Pharmacy Technician supporting home infusion services, you will work with advanced technology to prepare specialized and complex therapies administered to patients in their homes. This role supports sterile compounding, pharmacy operations, inventory management, order processing, and documentation while working under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare products and compound sterile preparations in accordance with applicable pharmacy and clean-room requirements.
* Maintain the pharmacy clean-room suite in compliance with USP <797> requirements.
* Complete documentation related to IV admixture preparation and clean-room suite sterility testing.
* Perform order entry and refill processing under pharmacist supervision.
* Manage inventory and storage of pharmacy supplies and products.
* Complete required documentation, including labels, log sheets, and reports.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
* Participate in an on-call rotation as required by staffing and business needs.
* Work mandatory overtime or extended workweeks when needed.
Required Qualifications
* Verifiable high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
* Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Pennsylvania.
* Regular and predictable attendance.
* Ability to work mandatory overtime or extended hours when required.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Formal Pharmacy Technician training and/or previous pharmacy technician experience.
* Knowledge of materials management systems, particularly SAP.
* Experience in a medical, pharmacy, fulfillment center, warehouse, or healthcare environment.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to remain standing and move about on foot for extended periods.
* Ability to operate equipment that elevates more than 15 feet.
* Ability to occasionally lift, reach, twist, turn, bend, stoop, and walk while handling objects weighing up to 55 pounds.
* Close visual acuity sufficient for computer work, reading, and visual inspection of small parts.
* Ability to concentrate on tasks for sustained periods without significant distraction.
* Ability to perform repetitive fine-motor activities, including picking, pinching, typing, and similar tasks requiring primarily finger and hand movement.
* Ability to extend hands and arms in various directions.
* Ability to bend forward and downward at the waist.
* Ability to stoop to a considerable degree and use the lower extremities and back muscles as needed.
* Ability to communicate information clearly and accurately through spoken communication.
* Ability to hear and understand detailed information at normal speaking levels, with or without reasonable correction.
