Job Description

Responsibilities

• Own root-cause analysis for complex cross-layer issues spanning the UI, APIs, databases, and dependent services
• Investigate difficult-to-reproduce issues using logs, traces, and monitoring tools such as Datadog and Sentry
• Create and execute integration testing strategies for backend services and third-party APIs
• Use Postman to explore, document, and validate APIs against functional, performance, and edge-case requirements
• Query relational databases to verify application behavior, data structures, and cross-service data flows
• Own frontend and end-to-end testing while validating quality from requirements through post-release
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams on business logic, architecture, testability, and domain-specific use cases
• Write detailed bug reports, participate in sprint ceremonies, and advocate for continuous improvement in testing and delivery

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend quality assurance experience focused on integration testing, system behavior, and data validation
• Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman or REST clients and experience designing and executing exploratory and regression test plans
• Strong SQL skills and experience querying relational databases and validating data across interconnected tables
• Familiarity with asynchronous systems and contract testing concepts
• Strong analytical, debugging, root-cause analysis, communication, and documentation skills
• Experience using logs and observability tools to investigate ambiguous failures
• Openness to integrating AI-assisted tools into testing workflows
• Experience working with remote or offshore teams is a plus
