Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and growth-minded VP/Director, Search & AI Visibility to lead and evolve Sosemo's SEO capability. This executive leadership role is responsible for client success, team leadership, capability growth, service innovation, profitability, and AI-enabled operational transformation. The VP/Director, Search & AI Visibility will serve as both the strategic owner of the SEO organization and the executive sponsor for AI-powered search innovation. 

Responsibilities 

• Lead and grow Sosemo's SEO, GEO, AEO, and AI Search capability. 
• Define service offerings, delivery frameworks, methodologies, and quality standards. 
• Drive continuous improvement across services, processes, and technologies. 
• Serve as an executive strategic advisor for key client relationships. 
• Lead major account planning and growth initiatives. 
• Support audits, proposals, pitches, and business development efforts. 
• Drive client retention and satisfaction. 
• Assist in revenue forecasting and capability growth planning. 
• Define and execute the roadmap for AI-enabled SEO operations. 
• Oversee AI-powered workflow development
• Establish governance standards for AI agents, automation, prompt libraries, workflows, approvals documentation, and quality control. 
• Transform agency IP, methodologies, SOPs, templates, and training materials into scalable operational systems. 
• Develop KPIs to measure efficiency, adoption, quality improvement, and business impact. 
• Evaluate emerging AI platforms, connectors, automation technologies, and workflow tools. 
• Represent Sosemo as a thought leader at conferences and client presentations 
• Develop POVs around SEO, GEO, AI Search, AEO, and the future of discovery. 
• Lead, mentor, and develop SEO team members. 
• Build training programs around search innovation, AI adoption, and workflow excellence. 
• Create a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Communications or related field. 
• 8+ years of SEO leadership experience. 
• Proven experience leading agency or enterprise SEO programs. 
• Deep understanding of technical SEO, GEO, AEO, analytics, and content strategy. 
• Experience managing teams, budgets, and client portfolios. 
• Strong business development and client relationship skills. 
• Experience leading digital transformation initiatives. 
• Experience implementing AI platforms, workflow automation solutions, or operational modernization programs. 
• Familiarity with Copilot Studio and Marketing automation platforms 
• Strong understanding of AI governance, responsible AI principles, and quality assurance frameworks. 
• Healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing experience is a plus.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.

Our office is located at 26 Broadway, NYC, with access to common areas, a podcast studio, and stocked snacks and coffee.

Employees in this role will be expected to actively leverage, improve, and help evolve AI-enabled workflows that support SEO, GEO, analytics, reporting, content optimization, research, and operational efficiency.
