Position Summary:
Assembles cabinet components by examining connections for correct fit as well as fastening parts and subassemblies according to design specifications and approved procedures. Verifies specifications by measuring completed component. Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.

Education and Experience:
Experience within a manufacturing environment, particularly in furniture manufacturing is preferred.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge: Knowledge of cabinet materials, production processes, machines, hardware, and assembly tools; Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layouts when needed. Ability to work at a quick pace while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
Abilities : Ability to accurately prepare documents, production sheets and other reports and related paperwork as required by our procedures; Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints; Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion; Ability to apply principles of logical thinking of a wide range of practical problems; Ability to work independently and make independent decisions.

Work might entail significant time spent standing, exposure to extreme temperatures, enduring distracting/uncomfortable sounds and noise levels, as well as exposure to potentially hazardous conditions and equipment. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Employee may be required to climb stairs as needed to access various areas of the building. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus. Overtime may be necessary as work load’s dictate.
